How we can help you

Cashflow & Profitability Analysis

It’s not all about the money, until it is. There are many reasons why a business might not be as profitable as it should be, and we’re here to help you get to the bottom of it. Having examined the finances of over 300 companies of all sizes over the course of our careers, we know a thing or two about being profitable. To get you back on track, we’ll take a deep dive into your business functions, costs and revenues to make tailored recommendations. With us, there’s no generic cut-and-paste templates, you’ll receive a personalised financial strategy delivered personally.

R&D Tax Incentives

The cash refund from these uncapped tax benefits can create actual income to propel your business forward. Unfortunately, many business owners lack confidence in the R&D Tax process—it’s confusing, convoluted and complicated—and can lose out on their entitlements.

That’s why we’re here. To get you the right amount of money, that’s yours to keep, through a rock-solid assessment and application process. With decades of experience in both R&D Tax and in industry, we’re able to reach conclusions fast and explain them in simple terms. We don’t just aim to maximise your tax offset, we aim to get it right. We also offer our service for a pre-agreed fixed fee based on the complexity of your business. It means you know exactly what you’re going to pay before we go ahead–no nasty surprises.

Starting with an initial consultation, we’ll apply our in-depth knowledge of tax rules to your unique products and processes, offering you certainty that you can put in the right claim and rely on it. We also make sure the money you’ll get back is significantly more than our fee. If it won’t be, we’ll tell you straight upfront.

We’ll then apply our experience of the application process to write the technical descriptions, complete and lodge the application on your behalf, and then calculate the eligible expenditure. But our work doesn’t stop there. We continue to support your innovation and growth by empowering you to manage your R&D activities and maximise your claim and your confidence into the future.

Affiliates and Associates

Nobody can build a great business alone. As a company grows, your focus shifts and you may find yourself in unfamiliar territory:

  • Taking an idea and forming a business around it.
  • Transitioning from creating a prototype to designing a commercial product.
  • Employing your first staff.
  • Scaling to new, larger markets, even global domination.

But you don’t have to do all of this yourself. Nor do you need to recruit a raft of people, set aside time for training or pay consultants.

The answer could be an Advisory Board–a consistent panel of experienced professionals familiar with your business but who aren’t part of day-to-day operations. An advisory board can give your company a priceless opportunity to gain valuable insight, knowledge, guidance and advice without having to learn the hard way.

At Worthington & Associates we hold approved advisor status from the Advisory Board Centre, helping businesses like yours become more successful through strategic advice and support.

Getting investor-ready

Raising capital? We help you succeed on your ambitions by structuring a solid business plan that gets investors onboard. We’ve provided support for many businesses needing help in their growth phases, turning enthusiasm and ideas into profit.

We help craft a business growth strategy or review existing processes to improve efficiency, profitability and cash flow. We then help you to build the due diligence framework (basically what data you need and how you prove it) and how to summarise that into a killer pitch deck.

All in all, we get your business ‘investor-ready’ with the right documents, analysis and business cases that open the gateway to what you really want—a cash injection.

Pricing guide

Zilch, Nothing, Nada. If you’d like to talk to an expert for free, with no obligation, we’re happy to spare half an hour to help. It doesn’t mean you can put us on speed dial and we’ll magically solve everything for you, but we’re passionate about supporting the startup community and know that every now and again, you just need to check something.

Our focus is on providing a value-based service, not a commision-based one. We offer fixed-rate pricing for R&D Tax based on the complexity of the work. And rest assured, it’s all agreed in advance. If we can’t go ahead with the claim (e.g. there’s insufficient eligible spend to justify claiming, or the experimentation is unlikely to meet AusIndustry approval criteria), then we won’t make you fork out a partial fee.

We’ll guide you through the eligibility, identify your activities, write your application descriptions, lodge your application form, calculate your eligible expenditure and complete the relevant tax form. We don’t outsource anything, so you get our expertise and advice throughout. All that starts from $5,500 + GST.
